This patient has xanthelasma under her thin eyelid skin and did not want skin peels or eyelid surgery. Xanthelasma is a common condition characterized by soft, yellowish, fatty deposits that typically form on or around the eyelids. Her goal was only to remove the xanthelasmas. In some patients, these nodules are associated with high cholesterol levels. It is not an uncommon problem as we age.
