Tired of under eye serums? Here is a possible solution

Those dark circles under your eyes aren’t impressing anyone. Sure you can keep convincing yourself that you are well rested but in this case, it is what people see on the outside that matters.

Dark circles, bags or dark shadows are all synonyms for “you look tired” even if you are not. In an article posted in NY Times, many people are looking for an alternative fix than the nightly routine of applying different serums or undergoing blepharoplasty which removes excess skin and fat from the eyelids.

Recently, a procedure called tear-trough fillers has been known to help your eyes look more rested. Many dermatologists and plastic surgeons, such as Dr. Mark Mandell-Brown, offer this procedure to their patients. This procedure is an injection of hyaluronic acid (Restylane or RHA, some examples) into the orbital bone.

Dr. Mandell-Brown, known to be a top plastic surgeon in the Cincinnati and Dayton, Ohio area explains that the type of hyaluronic acid used will depend on each individual patient. For his practice, he utilizes Restylane to the tear-trough area. “Utilizing your own fat can also be placed in the tear-trough area and may have longer lasting results,” noted Dr. Mandell-Brown.

Consult your plastic surgeon to determine which filler/fat is best for you.
